Welcome to Glenard
Guest House
This large Victorian house is set in it's own grounds with a large
garden.
Built in 1882 by a local merchant as a private house, it still
has almost all its original features. There are no ensuite rooms
as we feel feel this would spoil the character of the house. It
is set in the elegant Georgian town of Whitehaven, with links
from the past to Rum, Sugar and the slave trade.
About Whitehaven
Whitehaven is also the start of the coast to coast cycle run.
You are very welcome to stay here befo re the famous cycle challange
so you will be refreshed and ready for the journey ahead. It is
also a great base for people wishing to explore the quieter Western
Lakes, ideal for cycling and walking and discovering the natural
beauty of the surrounding areas.
Our rooms are furnished to the highest of standards and
the bedrooms are light and airy with tea and coffee making facilities.
Nearby you will find many restuarants and places of interest
to visit and you can count on having a comfortable stay at Glenard. |
